Sony usually announces the free games for the upcoming month on or close to the final Wednesday of the current month. So, this month, we might expect that announcement on Wednesday, September 30th. Since that is the last day of the month, perhaps the announcement will be a few days early.

This month’s free selection of games on PS Plus includes PUBG: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Street Fighter V.

PlayStation Plus October 2020 Free Games: October Predictions
Our first prediction for the month of October is Super Star Wars. Star Wars: Squadrons is coming out on October 2nd for PS4, Xbox One and PC, so making another Star Wars game free is a good idea. The PS4 port of the classic Nintendo game Super Star Wars has not yet been free through PS Plus, so this would be a great time for some nostalgia.
RIDE 4 is coming out on October 8th for PS4, Xbox One and PC. So, our next prediction is the previous installment in the motorbike series, RIDE 3. It has never been free through PS Plus, and would be a great way to introduce players to the series who may then want to pick up RIDE 4.
The empire building game Spacebase Startopia will come out on October 23rd. So, next we predict another game in the same genre. Railway Empire from 2018 has not yet been free through PS Plus, so that is one possibility.
The roguelike game Scourgebringer will come out on October 21st, so another roguelike game would be a good addition to October’s line-up on PS Plus. Our pick is the Canadian indie roguelike rhythm game Crypt of the NecroDancer.
