Pokemon GO Zapdos Day Dissappointed Players In Azores

The Pokemon GO Zapdos day that was held on Saturday throughout the world bring a lot of dissappointment to a certain place of the globe that was not included in the celebration. Fans at Azores were sad to realise that their gyms are not included in the Pokemon GO Zapdos raids, as if the event never happened.

According to players in Azores reporting their experience on Pokemon GO Zapdos day over at Reddit, the island never saw any related raids in their gyms, even though Niantic promised to resolve past issues causing players there to not be able to participate in celebration days. As you might have expected, players in Azores didn’t get the chance to participate in the Articuno day as well.

Niantic’s message for addressing the matter after Articuno day, assured players that:

The Azores Islands will have their Zapdos Day at the same time as the Americas. This will be 6-9pm local time for the Azores Islands, just like their Community Day.

Leaving players out of such an event is extremely bad for the reputation of Pokemon GO. Playing the game is about caring for your vicinity and team up with players in real life in order to ensure its smooth stability. It leaves us thinking that it would be only natural for players in Azores to reach their last resort, spoofing their way to Zapdos and so on.

Another big let-down for Pokemon trainers all around the world was the fact the the shiny version of Zapdos had close to no changes from its original version. Here are the two version:

Moltres is the next in line to get its Pokemon GO community day. We hope that by then, Niantic will fix this issue and let players all around the world be able to get their hands on legendary Pokemon as well.

Additionally we are waiting to find out what the research field challenges and special Pokemon reward for August will be along with special events throughout the world. Don’t forget that the special Pikachu end on July 31st, so make sure to evolve it to a sunglasses’ wearing Raichu.
