Pokemon: Let’s Go Is Bringing Back Jessie and James (And Meowth, That’s Right)

The latest Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee trailer has caused so many nostalgia-inducing feelings from us; seeing Kanto, our favorite Gen 1 Pokemon, and gym leaders like Brock and Misty in all of its full HD glory is spectacular and reminds us of the good old days with our best friends surrounded by link cables. The newest trailer showed off some cool albeit strange hairstyles for partner Pokemon, Eevee and Pikachu, and also some cute accessories for them.

In the new Japanese trailer for the game, we even get a glimpse of the trio that seems to be obsessed with Pikachu (in the anime at least) and making every trainer’s journey so much more difficult and annoying. Yes, I’m talking about Jessie, James, and Meowth of Team Rocket. You can see the new Japanese trailer below, get ready to feel the feels:

Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee was revealed earlier this year and while it’s not a full-fledged new generation of Pokemon, it’s the first core Gamefreak title to come to the Switch and it takes players back to the Kanto region in HD. Since Pokemon GO is still as popular as ever, Let’s Go will allow your Switch and mobile devices to communicate with one another, letting you transfer your favorite Pokemon from GO into your Switch RPG. There will be no random encounters or battles with wild Pokemon, but instead, you will see Pokemon roaming in the field, and you have to run into the monster in order to try to catch it, which works the same way as Pokemon GO. Battles will only take place with other trainers and gym leaders, and your team of critters level will be based on CP instead of levels that we’re used to in other Pokemon RPG’s.

Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon: Let’s Go Eeevee launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on Nov 16.
