Pokemon players will be happy to know that they will be able to receive a Shiny Zygarde for absolutely free starting next month. Anyone that owns Pokemon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, or Ultra Moon will be able to receive this shiny legendary pocket monster in June. As to why this is happening, Zygarde is the next in the line of the year of legendaries that The Pokemon Company has been doing thus far.
There have been many free legendary Pokemon already each month. This month, for example, you are able to select between the two generation two legendaries Entei and Raikou at select participating retailers. Next month, it will be Shiny Zygarde instead. Players will be able to receive this extremely special pocket monster for the limited time from June 1st through the 24th.
In the United States, you will have to go to a physical GameStop location during that time period to receive the free code for the Shiny Zygarde. In Canada, the free code will only be available at EB Games. If you are located outside of the United States and Canada, you will need to utilize Nintendo Network Wifi Distribution to take advantage of this exclusive, limited time offer.
If you don’t know how to redeem your one-time Shiny Zygarde code in the Pokemon game of your choice, you will need to select Mystery Gift from the main menu of your game. Select “receive gift”, use the unique code you receive, and speak with the delivery NPC in a Pokemon Center to pick up your legendary.
This unique Shiny Zygarde is level 100 for players on Pokemon Ultra Sun & Moon, while regular Sun & Moon owners will receive a level 60 Zygarde. The level 100 Zygarde will have the ability Aura Break and holding the Gold Bottle Cap item, with a moveset of Thousand Arrows, Outrage, Extreme Speed, and Dragon Dance.
On the other hand, the level 60 Shiny Zygarde has the same ability, but is holding no item, and has a different moveset containing Land’s Wrath, Glare, Safeguard, and Dragon Breath. In other news, the mobile game Pokemon Go is going to have Alolan forms soon.
