Prequel Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies Comic Available Now

Since the release of Call of Duty: World at War, Zombies have been come a standard mode for the franchise. The mode has its own form of comics, which are now releasing as a prequel to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies storyline, featuring the same characters.

Published by Dark Horse Comics, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies themed comic named Call of Duty Zombies is written by Jason Blundel and Craig Huston. Its story will revolve around the artifact we’ve seen in the mode’s trailers and will also include the same squad of characters.

The Call of Duty Zombies comic is made in partnership with Activision and Treyarch. Its description reads:

Meet the brand-new cast of characters from this year’s Call of Duty: Zombies offering in this prequel! The year is 1910, the place is Morocco, and there is a job that needs doing. The man to do it? A commanding officer in the French Foreign Legion. The prize? An artifact of unspeakable power. The price? More than he bargained for.

Looking at its cover, you can see that the artifact is present, in the hands of an older man as possibly one of the protagonists is amidst a fight in the foreground. The character on the front looks a lot like the broad shouldered guy from the trailer as well so there’s sure a connection between them. We had some leaked information about the mode’s backstory so it will be interesting how it fits into the comic.

The Call of Duty Zombies comic releases next month as a September issue of the series as the first to follow the story of the Black Ops 4 Zombies storyline. We don’t know if there will be more in the months to come, however, there must be some continuation between covers.

You will most possibly be able to buy this issue on any eligible Dark Horse Comics retailer for $3.99. The issue itself will be available on September 5th 2018.
