PUBG Corp. Looks to Players to Name ‘Abandoned Resort’ Area

PUBG’s latest map, Codename: Savage, is out for some players to test right now, and it’s got a pretty popular spot. It’s the Abandoned Resort area, which has been met with pretty universal positive feedback.

With that in mind, however, PUBG Corp. has acknowledged that the area needs a much better name than it currently has. “Abandoned Resort” doesn’t have much pizazz, does it?

That’s why PUBG Corp. is looking for players to figure out a better name. You can’t just throw out any suggestion that you want, though. You’re relegated to choosing between one of five names, which will be voted on: alms Resort, Terrace Resort, Paradise Hotel, Nosidam Resort, or Emerald Resort.

There’s an awful lot of “resort” in there, and these names don’t honestly feel too creative, but it’s up to PUBG Corp. in the end.

If you’re interested in voting between those names, you can head here and fill out the survey to help PUBG Corp. figure out the best name, which will almost inevitably end up in the area being called a “resort.” What’ll likely end up happening is that PUBG Corp. will ask for additional areas to be named in the future since even the name of the map is currently operating under a codename.

The next Savage test should be taking place soon for a lucky handful of PUBG players, though the testing will likely continue to be smaller in scope for the time being. Don’t worry, you’ll soon get your chance to see all it has to offer.
