PUBG Is Getting Cross-Play For PS4 And Xbox One In October

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is an online multiplayer Battle Royale game designed and published by PUBG Corporation. This was the first game that made the Battle Royale genre so popular after H1Z1. Right after this game started catching eyes, other games like Fortnite, Call of Duty and now even Battlefield has adopted the Battle Royale genre in its games. PUBG cross play has been announced to release later this year on consoles.

While some players might like this genre, there are definitely those who are sick of seeing Battle Royale in every other game (Call of Duty, Battlefield, Fortnite, PUBG, Apex Legends, the list goes on). PUBG was first released on PC only. Later on, its developers launched this game on Xbox One and then PlayStation 4 (released on December 7, 2018)

Cross-Play Coming to PUBG

PUBG Cross Play Coming October

Cross Play has become the top-notch feature in every game these days. First, this feature was released in Rocket League and then Fortnite and so on. Now, it seems PUBG is also getting Cross Play later this year in October. Community Manager Cecilia Lee Corporation detailed about Cross Play, he said:

“Next, we are thrilled to announce that cross platform play is coming to PUBG on consoles! Cross platform play between Xbox One and PlayStation 4 gamers will be available for testing on the PUBG Public Test Server (PTS) beginning in late September and will hit live servers in early October.”

This confirms that Cross Play will be hitting consoles sometime in October. Players who switched consoles for exclusives (either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One), will finally be able to play with their friends. PUBG has recently got a new update 4.1 which balanced the Vehicles and made some Gameplay tweaks. Read the patch notes for this update here.
