PUBG Resurrects War Mode For A Limited Time

PUBG’s War Mode is considered one of the most popular additions to the game, and yet we only get to see bits and pieces of it when it comes back from time to time. It’s like we haven’t been deemed especially worthy of the near-perfect game mode, and as such PUBG Corp. only lets us have it for a few days at a time. We just can’t handle much more of it, apparently. That’s why you’ll have to jump into Desert Knights, which takes place on Miramar, when it comes out tonight.

This is the second time PUBG Corp. has brought back this particular game mode, which has you jumping into a team deathmatch with 10 five-person teams all vying to emerge victorious. There’s one safe zone that you’ll stay in to kill each other off, and each time you die you’ll respawn with special items. Killing or downing others will award your team points, and the first team to reach 200 points will win. It’s a lot more visceral version of the regular game, and with a lot more to play for.

You’ll get random loot every time you drop, with level 3 vests and helmets and grenades as well as one random weapon found in care packages. That coulld range from the Groza, AUG, M24, AWM, MK14, or M249. With any one of those weapons you could do some serious damage, so as long as you’re handy with the mouse and getting your own Chicken Dinners, you should be a formidable opponent.

Desert Knights will be available tonight at 11 PM ET, so you’ll be able to jump online and enjoy the new vision of War Mode all the way through May 6 at 11 PM ET. You can play in both first and third-person mode, depending on your preference. That should take you through the weekend, or at least ease the hunger you have for more until the next time War Mode rears its head. Who knows when that will be?
