The Friends Update will be making its debut in Rocket League on February 19. This feature will make Cross-platform parties a reality. As such, players will be able to partner up with anyone regardless of the platform they’re playing the game in. This will be done thanks to the RocketID system that Psyonix has implemented.

As such, anyone can easily send their favorite teammates a Friend Request, even if they are on a different platform. Finally, the Alerts tab will show all the interactions the user had with other players including: Friend Requests, Party Invites, and Club Invites.
