New Scorestreaks & Intel Coming to Black Ops Cold War Zombies

In the first week of February, Treyarch will release Firebase Z, the next map for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies mode. However, the studio has also revealed that a new map won’t be the only thing coming to Zombies; the mode will also be getting a new Perk, as well as two new Scorestreaks and new in-game intel.

“February 4th will also bring two new Support Scorestreaks to call in against the undead,” explains Activision; “the devastating Artillery and always-satisfying Napalm Strike. When the action gets a little too hot, head over to the Crafting Table and turn the heat even higher.”

Both Artillery and Napalam Strike will be available for players to use on the new map, as well as Die Maschine. Together with the new Tombstone Soda, these Scorestreaks should give players some powerful new tools with which to turn the tide against the never-ending hordes of undead. In addition to these, the launch of Firebase Z means the arrival of new in-gem intel on the new map. These will be hidden in the form of; “new audio logs, documents, radio communications, Dark Aether dispatches, and artifacts,” throughout the new map.

Finally, new content from Firebase Z will also be coming to the new Onslaught game mode, which launched as part of the Mid-Season Update last week. This two-player, PlayStation-exclusive mode, will be getting the Raid and Express maps relatively soon. (Onslaught takes place on repurposed maps from the game’s core multiplayer.) Plus, new enemies from Firebase Z will start to appear in Onslaught once the map launches on the 4th of February. As of yet, Treyarch hasn’t revealed what these new enemies will be exactly. However, one screenshot has been teased; revealing a monstrous bipedal creature with a glowing fanged maw.
