Season 6 Fortnite Map Changes – Everything You Need to Know

With the V6.22 update and Season 6 of Fortnite ahead of us, there have been a number of changes to the map. Before you glide down to do battle, you will want to familiarize yourself with those transformations. Below, you can discover all important modifications in the landscape in our Season 6 Fortnite map changes guide.

What are the Season 6 Fortnite Map Changes?

Here are the changes which Epic Games has already made to the Fortnite map. We’ll break them down by category so you can skim through them with ease.

Commercial Changes

  • The Retail Row Halloween store is now no longer open.
  • All Halloween decorations are off the map.
  • The NOMS store is open again in Paradise Palms, as well as a new Keyboard Kings store.
  • The Durr Burger restaurant was boarded up. A Durr Burger food truck is now present alongside a Pizza Pit food truck.

Major Changes

Season 6 Fortnite Map Changes Football Field

  • The Soccer Field was converted into a field for American football. This follows with the theme of new NFL skins which were just leaked. As the NFL and Fortnite have just signed on a deal, we can expect to see a lot with this coming up.
  • One of the most dramatic changes is what happened with Loot Lake. If you logged in when the cube blew up during the Fortnitemares grand finale, you found yourself briefly in a bizarre realm (because Fortnite just keeps getting more and more surreal). You then found yourself back on the regular map. Once you arrived, you saw that Loot Lake had turned into Leaky Lake. There are a number of small islands now. On one of them, you can see what is left of the cube. The wreckage looks a lot like Stonehenge. Have fun exploring this new area.

Don’t be surprised if other map changes become obvious in the days ahead—the team at Epic Games is always coming up with surprises to keep the game fresh. Keep up with all news and updates in our Fortnite feed. Enjoy exploring the map changes!
