Until recently, the cost of Cyberpunk 2077 on the PlayStation Store in the UK has been £54.99 – the same price it has been ever since pre-orders first became available. However, Sony has now chosen to reduce this price by £5, knocking 9% off the total price!
Cyberpunk 2077 PS Store Price Reduction in the UK
The recent price reduction for Cyberpunk 2077 only applies to digital copies bought in the UK on the PlayStation Store. With the reduction in place, the game will now cost £49.99, which is the same price as the retail edition. Indeed, the reduction may be an attempt to boost lower-than-anticipated digital sales ahead of launch, if Sony was concerned that the lower retail price was encouraging more people to buy retail rather than digital.

For gamers who already pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077 on the PlayStation Store in the UK, don’t worry; you will get a refund for the £5 prior to launch, if you haven’t received one already. This money should appear in your PSN wallet along with a notification informing you of its arrival. With many stores currently closed or in limited operation due to lockdown restrictions in the UK, and deliveries affected by delays as a result, this digital price reduction should be welcome news for gamers. After all, if you pre-ordered a physical copy, there’s a real possibility that it may fail to arrive on launch day.
Cyberpunk 2077 is finally due to release on the 10th of December; a date which is now less than two weeks’ away. While some fans may be worried about another last-minute delay, the odds of that happening are very slim. Even before the last delay, CD Projekt Red had announced that Cyberpunk 2077 had gone gold; the delay was reportedly intended to give the developers time to finish a day-one patch. In those circumstances, CD Projekt Red is highly unlikely to delay the game again.
