Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Weekly Roundup (10/7-10/11)

Once again, the Super Smash Blog is full of updates regarding Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Here’s a roundup of the news from this week:

Sunday (10/7)

For this day, Nintendo showed off Wii Fit Trainer, one of the many returning fighters from the Wii U/3DS version. All of its moves are different exercises. You’ll have the ability to choose between the male and females versions of the character. One of the many attacks is the sun salutation, an attack that gives you a bit of health once it’s fully charged.

Monday (10/8)

Building off the Wii Fit Trainer, Dr. Mario was discussed. One difference between him and Mario is he has more attack and launch power. However, another difference is his jump and recovery times aren’t as good.

Tuesday (10/9)

For Tuesday, we got two updates. The first one is Id (Purpose), a new music track from Fire Emblem Awakening. As for the second one, the Boxing Ring stage from Punch-Out was previewed. If you attack the lights above the boxing ring, they’ll come crashing down.

Wednesday (10/10)

Halfway through the week, a new assist trophy popped up. Zero from the Mega Man series is one of many assist trophies making a return. It’d be awesome if he were a playable fighter, but this’ll do.

Thursday (10/11)

For the last update of the week, returning Pokemon fighter Greninja made an appearance. One of his many moves will be the water shuriken. An advantage Greninja has is it can stick to walls.

That does it for this week’s roundup. With two months to go, the updates will keep trickling in until then. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate hits Nintendo Switch on December 7th.
