System Requirements for Shenmue 3’s PC Port Revealed

Ys Net has brought some good news for the Shenmue 3 backers. The development on the long-awaited of Ryo Hazuki’s journey has clearly gone well as of late. Ys Net has even revealed the system requirements for the PC version of the game.

On January 3, 2019, Ys Net released an update for Shenmue 3’s kickstarter backers. The update listed a few things such as choosing the PS4 region for the console’s release of the game; this update also told of the system requirements for the PC version of Shenmue 3.

Oddly enough, Ys Net didn’t consider a minimum/recommended selection of requirements. The company opted for just listing the requirements for optimal performance for Shenmue 3. This also means that these hardware specifications might be subject to change depending on later developments.

Without further ado, here’s the system requirements for the PC version of Shenmue 3:

  • Operating System: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 (64-bit OS Required)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 (3.40 GHz) or better; Quad-core or better
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti or better (DirectX 11 card & VRAM 2GB Required)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 100 GB available space

This game will also require Steam’s client to activate. However, there hasn’t been an update about whether or not the game will come with some sort of DRM attached. Furthermore, it seems like the game will be great for mid-end computers.

Not everything is sunshine and celebrations, however. Some backers are concerned about the fact that there hasn’t been any more information about the game. The comment section of the project has been split between people with faith on the project and skeptics who want more information.

Shenmue 3 will make its grand debut on August 24, 2019. The Ys Net game will be available for PlayStation 4 and PC users. Remember to tell us your thoughts over at the VGR Forums. Stay tuned at VGR for more news and updates.
