The Director Of Saints Row Hints At A Possible Comeback Of The Series

In his recent interview with Game Informer’s senior editor Jeff Cork, the director of Saints Row Scott Phillips talked about many different topics. But he also made an interesting statement. Could this be a hint at the possibility of the rumored Saints Row 5 to be finally released?

Scott Phillips was the director of the Saints Row franchise. He has now moved to the position of director of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. During his interview with Jeff Cork, Phillips discussed many different topics including various games. When Saints Row: The Third came up, he lit up. Cork asked him what he thinks about the fact that the series has not been back for a while and if it needs more time until it gets back.

Phillips replied saying the following:

“It’s been quite a few years…uh, I think it would be good if it came back.”

We already know that the franchise is finally back in the hands of its original developer. After several setbacks that Deep Silver experienced, it was great news to hear such a promising possibility for the Saints Row franchise. There is no more information regarding Volition’s upcoming works. However, the fact that they are bringing back certain other franchises makes us very optimistic about a possible Saints Row 5 release in the future.

Because of the negative criticism Agents of Mayhem received, it seems difficult for the company to take the chance with another Saints Row title. However, the fans of the franchise have wanted an additional title for quite some time now. The Volition certainly does not want to let their fans down, especially when you read so many tweets referring to Saints Row 5 below their posts.
