As part of its first year of post-launch content, The Division 2 is getting new eight-player PvE Raids. The first such Raid will be called Operation Dark Hours when it launches sometime in the near future. Now, thanks to a recent info leak, we have a slightly clearer picture of what Operation Dark Hours will entail.
The Division 2 Leaked Raid Details
The leaked information comes courtesy of Redditor kevindavid40. According to kevindavid40’s post, Operation Dark Hours will take players to a number of iconic D.C. locales. The Raid will reportedly start off in the Ronald Reagan Airport, matching the teaser image Ubisoft shared. Next, players will travel across the Arlington Memorial Bridge and ultimate end up on Arlington Island.
Throughout the Raid players will need to fulfill a large number of different goals. We don’t know the exact order or nature of those goals yet, but here’s what kevindavid40 shared:
- Survive the assault on the bridge
- Find the stolen GPS coordinates
- Protect the named agent on your team
- Confirm the kill of 2nd hand Lieutenant
- Rendezvous with your team
- Survive the blackout attack
- Find the activation code
- Extract your team to safety
- Split teams and flank the target
- Stop the convoy from leaving the runway
- Take out bombardiers from high ground
Lastly, there will be four new achievements/trophies specifically linked to the Operation Dark Hours Raid. On PlayStation 4 the Relentless, Extreme Measures, and Reminders of Me trophies have a Gold rarity. The Gone Baby Gone trophy, meanwhile, has a Silver rarity, suggesting it will be slightly easier to complete.
Operation Dark Hours Raid Achievements
- Relentless – Make it through the bridge in one hour or less
- Extreme Measures – Have your most kills from Signature weapons
- Reminder of Me – Kill any of the Hunters who killed you before
- Gone Baby Gone – In less than two minutes flee from Interceptors
Another interesting element which kevindavid40 dug up is a reference to a new mission called Nighthawk. It seems the Nighthawk mission is triggered within the Operation Dark Hours Raid. This might be a similar mechanic to what Bungie utilized for Destiny 2’s Last Wish Raid. When the first instance of Last Wish was completed, it unlocked a new strike mission for the game’s entire community.
As usual it’s important to note that none of the above has been verified by Ubisoft. For the time being, Operation Dark Hours doesn’t even have a set release date. The Raid should be arriving soon, though, revealing how accurate kevindavid40’s information was when it does.
