The First Black Ops 4 Aimbots Have Been Spotted

One thing that Treyarch was sure about for their new Call of Duty title was that it will be cheater-free. Battle.net and their collaboration with Blizzard would make sure of that. However new questioning evidence reveals that this might not be the case for Black Ops 4 aimbots.

Video reveals the existence of Black Ops 4 aimbots

A suspicious video has been posted on Reddit by user TheWetDolphin showing a serious case of aimbotting. In the video, a player called ViciouZ is either the god of aiming or uses the first Black Ops 4 aimbot.

As you’ll see below, the player gets six kills in the row (four headshots) immediately after first glance. This is the first evidence of Black Ops 4 aimbots. Legit or not, this is indeed suspicious.

Treyarch Adresses the Black Ops 4 Aimbots

Treyarch has responded to the issue by saying that they ” take anti-cheat very seriously, and have worked closely with Blizzard’s security team on the process”. This is actually one of the very little times we’ve seen cheating on Battle.net altogether.

The developers have pointed out their dedication to anti-cheating from the start. Even though the answer was generic, we’re hopeful that they’re trying the best to make it happen.

This raises questions as to what it will mean for the game on all platforms. Sony has started being positive on Cross Play and with Black Ops 4 having cheaters on PC, that may never happen. It falls to players to make it happen right now.

What can you do? As soon as you spot a cheater, leave a report and state your reasoning behind it. This will ensure that the Treyarch security team will check the match out and ban the culprits, if they exist.

Note that the game has some pretty good players so be sure when you report someone. There are players out there with killer aiming and spot-on dedication. We envy you if you’re one of those players.
