The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 is now coming to the West via publisher NIS America. The third entry in this particular JRPG sub-series will be releasing in the fall of 2019. No specific release date is available just yet but this localization announcement is great news for fans of the series. The third title in the Cold Steel series will be a PS4 exclusive.
That’s right, unfortunately, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 will only be available for PS4 players. Even though previous entries have also come to PC and Vita, this one is solely for PS4 players. This is rather surprising, especially given that it isn’t releasing on PC. This is also really interesting since XSEED Games did the first two games in this sub-series.
Thankfully, we are happy to report that “certain” members of the English localization staff who worked on the previous games will be returning for this next entry. You can check out the epic announcement trailer for the game above. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 takes place just a year and a half after the events of the second title.
Players take on the role of a brand new Class VII. The new class is led by Rean Schwarzer, who is now an instructor at the Thors Branch Campus. This third title continues the tale of the Erebonian Empire. The class is faced with a new threat that could plunge them into yet another war.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 features some new features like the Break System. There are also familiar faces that will make an appearance in this game. Trails of Cold Steel III releases exclusively on PS4 this fall. Make sure to stay tuned for more info on the game in the coming months.
