FIFA 20 unveils October Ligue 1 Player of the Month Thiago Silva

On Wednesday, November 13, EA Sports FIFA Twitter released the following video clip to announce their October Ligue 1 Player of the Month. PSG’s Thiago Silva continues to help his club remain atop the Ligue 1 standings due to his stellar defensive skills. Paris Saint-Germain is 10-0-3 as of this report. Silva has made 11 appearances, racking up 895 minutes of game time so far and keeping up the defensive intensity. As a result, a 90 overall upgraded card is now available in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team.

Silva’s new Player of the Month card includes a 90 Defense, 81 Physical, 77 Passing, and 76 Dribbling amongst the key attributes. He previously received an 88 overall item when he made it onto the FIFA Team of the Week 2 several weeks ago for the new football game. Prior to that, Silva had an 87 OVR card available for FUT gamers to put to use.

Silva defeats several other popular players to win the October Ligue 1 Player of the Month. Other footballers who the gaming community have mentioned as worthy winners included Angel di Maria and Ben Yedder. However, Silva gives FUT a nice defensive option for many squads out there.

The news arrives after the new FIFA Team of the Week 9 lineup revealed on Wednesday. Among the top stars on the squad were Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski. Based on Silva’s continued excellence on the pitch it won’t be surprising to see him make another TOTW in the future.
