This Sekiro Mod Adds An “Easy Mode” Of Sorts Along With Unlocked Framerates

There’s no denying that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a tough game. In fact, it’s so tough that many fans have been petitioning developer From Software for an optional easy mode difficulty. Unless From acquiesces, a new PC mod from Nexus Mods user uberhalit is likely as close as we’ll get. The mod allows users to tweak a variety of parameters across both graphics and gameplay, making things easier if preferred.

Sekiro Miscellaneous Tweaks Mod

Uberhalit’s mod (which can be downloaded here) does a number of things. If you’d rather just tweak Sekiro’s graphical settings, the mod enables several additional tools. Users can unlock frame rates, utilize 21:9 widescreen support, enable borderless windowed mode, and tweak the field of view.

The mod is also handy for streamers or those who just want to monitor their stats in real-time. An optional stat counter displays statistics like deaths and kills and can even store them in a log file.

For players who are struggling with a particular boss or gameplay sequence, uberhalit’s mod also contains gameplay-tweaking capabilities. Using the mod, players can adjust both the global game speed and their personal character speed. This essentially allows the player to “cheat” by slowing down enemies and/or speeding up their character’s attacks. It’s definitely much easier to deflect enemy attacks when they’re coming in at one fourth their usual speed.

Again, uberhalit’s mod isn’t quite the easy mode fans are asking for, but it’s a pretty good alternative. If your desire to beat a boss outweighs your aversion towards cheats, uberhalit’s mod can definitely help. Some of Sekiro’s boss fights can be downright brutal, so there’s no shame in using any available means to triumph.

Of course, if you’d rather defeat Sekiro’s bosses as they were intended, we’ve got plenty of guides for you. Bosses like the Headless Ape and Genichiro Ashina can be beaten without the need of cheats. You just need to put in the time to learn, and eventually counter, their unique attack routines. Or you can simply slow them down and laugh as you wail on them with impunity, we won’t judge.
