Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 Roster: New Pro Skaters Added to the Game

Ahead of an anticipated release date that is still a few months away, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 announced a number of pro skaters in the mix so far. They’ll join some of the previous pro skaters available in the remastered version of the skateboarding video game. One duo in the game consists of a father and son pairing as well.

Who are the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 skaters?

It’s looking to be a great time when it comes to the availability of skateboarding titles for video game fans. We previously reported that there will be a forthcoming Skate 4 title on the way thanks to an announcement at EA Play. In addition, the new Skater XL game gives an interesting open-world community-driven experience for skateboarding simulation.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 will become available in September, and we’re now seeing who some of the pro skaters involved will be. A total of “eight new skaters” are set to make their way into this remastered game.

According to a report from 9 to 5 Toys, Nyjah Huston, Leo Baker, Leticia Bufoni, Aori Nishimura, Lizzie Armanto, Shane O’Neill, Riley Hawk, and Tyshawn Jones will make their way into the game. Of those top stars that were recently announced, fans will notice that Tony Hawk’s son Riley is amongst them.

“Modern-day skateboarding originated from a generation of skaters who grew up playing the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games,” Michelle Bresaw, Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at Activision said.

“The world-class pro skaters we’re adding to this remaster took the tricks and combos from the video game and made them possible in real life. We’re proud that the remaster will represent the skate culture landscape today with a diverse roster of skaters that will appeal to any gamer.” Bresaw added.

Some of the skaters named above were in previous installments in the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series. However, it’s said to be the first time some of these pros take over the park in the franchise’s first two games as a remastered game. They’ll also bring signature tricks to the 1 and 2 game.

Game editions, pre-orders, and release date

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’s 1 and 2 will have three different editions for gamers to contemplate. The least expensive is the $39.99 Standard Edition which just provides the game itself. Still, it comes in about $20 cheaper than most of today’s sports games like Madden, FIFA, and NBA 2K.

A $49.99 Digital Deluxe Edition features unique content and in-game gear as part of the deal. The high-end version is the Collector’s Edition. It costs $99.99 and includes the Digital Deluxe version with a “limited-run Birdhouse deck.”

The game’s official release date is on Sep. 4, but anyone who pre-orders the game on digital gets to access the Warehouse Demo coming on Aug. 14. Check out more details about pre-ordering the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC at the official website.
