As we draw closer to Black Friday, many developers and publishers have begun to announce sales. Borderlands 3, for example, is free to play this weekend and on sale for 33% off. The latest studio to announce their own sale, however, is Creative Assembly, who have announced a new Total War sale spanning practically all of their historical titles, including Total War: Three Kingdoms.
The Total War Sale: Discounts on All Historical Titles
This new Total War sale only covers the historical titles in the series; Total War: Three Kingdoms, Total War: Rome 2, Total War: Shogun 2, and so on. It doesn’t include the Total War: Warhammer games. While it does include the Total War Saga games too, being historical titles, it doesn’t apply to Total War Saga: Troy, which is on Steam but isn’t yet available to pre-order. The newest title in the sale is, of course, Total War: Three Kingdoms, which is available for 20% off on Steam. (Both the Yellow Turban Rebellion and Eight Princes DLC packs are also 20% off.) When it comes to the studio’s older titles, however, the discounts get much higher.
Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia, along with the Rome: Total War Collection, are both available for 66% off. Meanwhile, a whole host of historical titles are all 75% off. This includes both the Shogun: Total War Collection and Medieval: Total War Collection. Plus, players can get standalone games at 75% off, including; Total War: Attila, Total War: Rome 2 Emperor Edition, Total War: Shogun 2, Total War: Empire Definitive Edition, Total War: Napoleon Definitive Edition, Total War: Medieval 2 Definitive Edition, and Medieval 2: Total War Kingdoms. Gamers can also get Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai for 75% off. (Originally Total War: Shogun 2 DLC, this game was re-released as a standalone title earlier this year.)

The sale also extends to most DLC available for the historical games. Almost all of the Total War: Rome 2 DLC is 66% off, for example. At least for now, the Total War: Warhammer games are not included with this sale. However, with a new DLC scheduled to release this December, and Black Friday approaching, it’s certainly possible that they may get a sale of their own at some point in the near future.
