Get 25% Off Total War: Three Kingdoms in Lunar New Year Sale

To mark the Lunar New Year, which also happens to be the Chinese New Year, Creative Assembly are holding a rather appropriate Total War: Three Kingdoms sale, which extends across the main game and several of its DLCs. Of course, it doesn’t include Mandate of Heaven, which only launched earlier this month. However, it is nonetheless a great opportunity to pick up the strategy title more cheaply, as the latest free patch launched with a plethora of new content.

The Total War: Three Kingdoms Lunar New Year Sale

The main discount in the Total War: Three Kingdoms Lunar New Year sale is, of course, that of the game itself. Three Kingdoms is currently 25% off in the sale. Furthermore, both the Yellow Turban Rebellion and Eight Princes Chapter Pack DLCs are 20% off. Mandate of Heaven, being only a few weeks old, isn’t on sale this time. Nor is the Reign of Blood DLC, although that extra effects pack is very cheap anyway.

Total War Three Kingdoms Lunar New Year Sale 2

Of course, this is a good opportunity to pick up Total War: Three Kingdoms, or any of its expansions that you’re missing. This is particularly true thanks to the recent launch of Patch 1.4.0, which launched alongside Mandate of Heaven. This free update, not to mention the separate Tao Qian Free-LC, brought a huge amount of changes and free content to the game. This includes battlefield deployables, including oil traps and sharp stakes, siege towers and a new ballista-style siege weapon, and new battlefield abilities. It also brought four new legendary characters to the game, all available for free.

If you want to take advantage of the Lunar New Year sale, you’ll need to do so soon. The special offer ends on the 27th of January, in just a couple of days’ time. With the launch of Mandate of Heaven so recently, it’s currently unknown when the next DLC release will arrive, and indeed, when the next sale opportunity might be.
