Treyarch Answers The Difficult Questions For Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 On PC

Fans have a lot of questions regarding the performance of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on PC. Given the power of the platform and the fact that it’s the most commonly used one for first person shooters, it’s only natural for possible buyers to want to know what the state of the game will be. Treyarch has provided some information regarding the matter, giving us some long awaited answers.

In a discussion over at Reddit, filled with questions about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on PC, a Treyarch representative answered in short some “burning” questions such as aim-assistance and cheaters, two issues that have been faced in the franchise before. He stated:

Controllers: Aim assist will be Off in competitive MP

Cheaters: Our security team is working closely with Blizzard’s team and their experience to ensure we have a robust system in place, and one that is nimble enough to respond quickly to any issues.

Optimization: We will continue to optimize through launch, and after. Between the team here at Treyarch, at Beenox, and with access to the compatibility labs at Blizzard we’re able to test through a bunch of hardware configurations. We’ll have specifics on the launch minimum and recommended specs closer to release. But we will also continue to support wherever possible post-launch.

Snipers: Right, they were nerfed during the beta, and we continue to test and balance. Hopefully the speed with which we were able to hear the comments and address them during the beta is a good indication of the attention we’ll be giving the game through launch and beyond.

While the answers are generic, they contain the right amount of information for fans to be “sold”. The only thing that was left unanswered is whether or not Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on PC is safer from cheaters using Battle.net, but that’s a question that will quickly be answered through the first days of the game.

Now we have questions regarding Blackout on PC and whether or not it will be better played there than on consoles. We expect this question to be answered as soon as the Blackout Beta ends for all platforms, which is probably by the end of September.
