Treyarch Releases Cheaper Black Ops 4 Battle Edition for Multiplayer and Blackout Fans
There is a brand new, cheaper version of Black Ops 4 available right now for purchase. Called Black Ops 4 Battle Edition, this version of the game arrives a couple of months after release. It is a much cheaper version of the game, retailing normally for $39.99 instead of $59.99. However, if you grab it between right now and a month from now on January 6, 2019, you can get it for $29.99.
So, what’s the catch? Well, the Black Ops 4 Battle Edition does have a couple of caveats that are worth noting. For one, this package is not for everyone. In fact, it’s only available for purchase currently for PC through Battle.net. While it is possible the Battle Edition could come to PS4 and Xbox One, there’s no guarantee.
In addition, the reason it is cheaper is that Black Ops 4 Battle Edition isn’t the entire game. You are only getting the traditional multiplayer and Blackout modes with this version of the game. That means that you are missing the Zombies version from the regular game, hence, the $20 or 33 percent discount on this version of the Call of Duty game.
As such, it is specifically for those players who don’t currently own the game but want to. In addition, those players who have no care in the world for Zombies and only likes to compete online. You will have plenty to do in the traditional multiplayer mode and in the ever-popular Blackout Battle Royale mode. It is unsure if there will be similar standalone modes in the future.
For example, a standalone Blackout package of Black Ops 4 would probably be very popular. It would even make perfect sense on mobile or on Nintendo Switch.
