DICE released the full patch notes for the latest Battlefield 5 update today. Alongside details of the new Sturmgeschutz IV tank, there are a whole array of new features arriving for Battlefield 5 Practice Range. These range from new options to a whole new scoring system.

The first of these new features is Bullet Drop; the mode’s Shooting Trials and the new Skeet Shooting trial will now have an option for bullet drop which players can turn on or off. Until now, Practice Range has had racks for primary weapons arranged around the map. Now, the mode will have extra racks for secondary weapons, grenades, and different gadgets, letting players test even more in the mode. The last new feature is a new scoring system. This system is available in the existing Aim Practice and Turning modes, and the new Skeet Shooting mode. Depending on the difficulty of the trial, the scoring system will award different medals.

On top of the new features, Practice Range is getting three new modes. The aforementioned Skeet Shooting mode is similar to the existing Shooting Trials, but feature flying targets. Points for this mode will be awarded according to a player’s streak. In addition to Skeet Shooting, there are new Grenade Practice and Gadget Practice modes. The Grenade Practice mode challenges players to destroy barrels which spawn randomly with grenades. Gadget Practice, on the other hand, requires players to use gadgets against “stationary, silhouette targets.

Finally, there are a few general changes coming to the mode. Shooting Trials will feature only four waves now, and the Driving Trial has also been reduced. Spawn points for players will be closer to the Open Range mode, where vehicle targets are further away. Open Range will also track shots against tanks and soldiers separately now.
