The God of War soundtrack by Bear McCreary certainly lent Santa Monica Studios’ latest title a powerful and dramatic tone; fully in keeping with the series’ new Norse setting. That soundtrack has already been released on CD and online. Now, however, it has been revealed that the studio will be releasing a vinyl edition.

The Vinyl God of War Soundtrack

The vinyl edition of the God of War soundtrack was recently listed for pre-order on MondoTees. “Mondo is proud to present the soundtrack to Santa Monica Studio’s GOD OF WAR.” states the product description; “Composed by Bear McCreary, the soundtrack to GOD OF WAR is truly epic and emotionally powerful. This album features some of Bear’s most beautiful compositions to date, bouncing back and forth between solemn and sublime.”

God of War's Concept Art Was Recently Released Online

Retailing for $35.00, the vinyl God of War soundtrack is a 2 LP edition of the original video game soundtrack. Moreover, it features original cover artwork by Jeff Langevin, and comes in either black or colored vinyl. The vinyl will release on the 13th of July, less than a fortnight from today. It’s been a good few weeks for fans of God of War and the arts; this announcement comes just one week after one by the art studio Cook & Becker. The studio will be selling fine-art prints of six pieces of God of War’s concept art. Meanwhile, a huge selection of concept art was released online.
