Warzone Season 4 was released just a few days ago, but we’re already getting adjustment changes. Players are not too happy with some things in the Call of Duty battle royale game and it appears that Raven Software, the game developer, will fix them soon. However, players want even more changes than what the developer has announced.
The latest Warzone season has added the MG 82 light machine gun to the game. This weapon has been incredibly dominant since the new season was released, which is why its effectiveness will soon be reduced.
Raven Software announced a Warzone nerf
Warzone patch notes revealed that the new weapon would have the fastest fire rate out of all light machine guns in the game, which is why many players correctly predicted that it would be overpowered. In just a few days, the MG 82 has become the second most popular weapon in Call of Duty: Warzone. Its pick rate is 9.0, according to WZRanked, which is just slightly behind Kar98k and its 9.1 pick rate.
The biggest reason for its popularity is its incredible power. This weapon ranks first in kill-death ratio in Warzone with 1.25. It is the only LMG in the game that has a positive KD ratio and is far ahead of the second-ranked weapon in the same class as Bruen Mk9 is ranked second with only a 0.89 KD ratio.
Raven Software admitted that the MG 82 LMG “made one too many trips to the Pack-a-Punch machine before deploying to Verdansk” and will be nerfed soon. Of course, some Warzone players are not too happy with this announcement. While many players consider this nerf necessary, some of them would prefer the weapon to stay the same for a while.
More nerfs may come soon
Raven Software has also released the Nail Gun to Warzone Season 4. Players have complained about the power of this weapon as well and they want a nerf for it. At the moment, the Nail Gun is the 19th most popular weapon in Warzone. Its KD ratio is the sixth-highest among all weapons, 1.15.
At the moment, this is the meta SMG in Warzone. However, many players believe that it should be nothing more than a troll/meme weapon. Raven Software may release nerf for the Nail Gun too, but it appears that it will not happen soon. The mobility of the weapon is very high, which makes it easy to rush enemies. Furthermore, it is capable of eliminating opponents in just four shots.
