Weta Workshop’s First Apex Legends Minis are Available to Pre-Order

Three months ago, Respawn announced that they had partnered with Weta Workshop to produce their first range of Apex Legends collectibles. Now, after Weta has released just a couple of small teasers, the first of their Apex Legends minis are available to pre-order. The reveal came among several announcements for the company’s upcoming appearance at San Diego Comic-Con.

The First Apex Legends Minis From Weta Workshop

The first of the Apex Legends minis to be revealed by Weta Workshop are those for Bangalore, Bloodhound, and Mirage. Specifically, these three vinyl figurines are part of Weta Workshop’s “MINI EPICS” range. All three are available to pre-order from the company’s website for £23.96 each. Fans will be waiting a while before release, however, as the estimated delivery is sometime in November 2019.

It seems that Weta Workshop may be planning to feature these figures among the content which they’re showing off at San Diego Comic-Con. This may explain why only three have been announced; the company may have more still in development which aren’t quite ready to be shown off. Certainly, the teasers which the company have put out so far suggest that the range will eventually be much larger. For example, the first 3D render they revealed was for a Mini Epic figurine of Pathfinder. The studio has also shown 3D renders for another range of figurines which are much more detailed. Weta’s MINI EPIC range has a more cartoonish style, but this other range would be much more realistic; more akin to how the characters actually look in Apex Legends.

It’s still unknown when fans might get to see these other upcoming collectibles. However, it does sound like fans attending San Diego Comic-Con may be able to get a look at some of what the company is working on during the event. Comic-Con will be taking place from the 17th of July through to the 21st. After that, fans will have to wait patiently for more news from Weta. If the first collectibles are due to release in November, it’s certainly possible that more of the Apex Legends range will be coming out then too.
