What to Expect From the New LC10 in Black Ops Cold War Season 2

Since its launch, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 2 has seen the release of four new weapons, with more yet to come later in the season. Of those to have come so far, two were released as tier rewards in the Season 2 Battle Pass; the FARA 83 and the lightweight LC10. The latter, which becomes available to use at Tier 31, is certainly worth a look.

Black Ops Cold War Season 2 – The LC10 SMG

“Full-auto submachine gun,” writes Treyarch, describing the new LC10 SMG; “Well-rounded with excellent damage range and good accuracy. Moderate damage with an impressive muzzle velocity and a high fire rate.”

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War LC10 Season 2

Alongside the FARA 83, the LC10 is freely available to all players who reach Tier 31 in the Season 2 Battle Pass, unlike other weapons. Unlocking the firearm doesn’t require you to have purchased the full Battle Pass. Other weapons which have arrived in Season 2 since launch have been delivered via another format; they are unlockable through the completion of specific in-game challenges. Those weapons include the Machete and the E-Tool, with two more firearms coming later in the season.

The LC10 is one of the most accurate submachine guns in Black Ops Cold War, despite its high fire rate. As such, the weapon can be deadly in the right hands, and with the right attachments. Like other SMGs, the LC10 is highly customisable in the Gunsmith menu, with a wide range of loadouts available. Of course, there’s also a Legendary Blueprint of the LC10 available in Season 2; the Poison Dart. This vibrant and lethal weapon can be unlocked at Tier 100 of the Season 2 Battle Pass.

The Poison Dart is an excellent example of how the LC10 can be fine-tuned to support a certain style of play. In its case, that style is highly-mobile stealth combat. The weapon’s handling speed is excellent, thanks to its Vandal Speed Loader, Bruiser Grip, and Quickdot LED, allowing users to quickly snap-aim and fire. To ensure accuracy, the weapon features a Steady Aim Laser, while the Sound Suppressor Muzzle keeps your kills quiet. Paired with the right Perks to emphasise speed and silence, the Poison Dart could be a deadly tool indeed.
