What We Want To See From A Future Battlefield V Battle Royale Mode

Battlefield V is releasing this October bringing some positive competition to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releasing a few days earlier. What the upcoming Call of Duty titles implements that Battlefield doesn’t is a battle royale mode, event though developers are discussing the option of adding one. What would we want to see from a potential Battlefield V Battle Royale mode?

Undeniably, a Battlefield V Battle Royale could have to learn from Fortnite’s 50 vs 50 limited time mode. Such a mode could perfectly fit the Battlefield franchise without compromising its war character. Even though 50 vs 50 isn’t Fortnite’s best mode, it offers a different type of excitement, that of working together as a team not only with a squad but with 50-60 or 100 other teamates. What you’ll feel in Fortnite 50 vs 50 is the sense that you’re doing everything for your team and even if you die, another teamate can keep on to victory. How can this fit a future Battlefield V battle Royale mode?

Here’s how we see a standard Battlefield V battle royale match. Players are airdropped (which will already be a feature in the game) to different sides of the map and from there they move to the center for the final showdown. This gives you the feeling of a real warfront, as you see the massive amount of opponent players moving towards you.

Building can also be featured in this mode much like Fortnite. All past history warfronts had fortifications that soldiers used as cover so it would give an extra point for realistic environment for a Battlefield V battle royale mode. The could also be different factions in different maps, based on real locations and battles for another reality point. There’s only more things to concider from there on.

We hope DICE and Electronic Arts will find a way to implement a battle royale mode to Battlefield V as it looks like it can feature one perfectly. After all battle royale titles are the high point of the industry this year, adding tones of replayability to each one of them.
