When Is Fortnite Mobile Coming to Android?

With Fortnite Mobile doing so well as an iOS-only title, it’s only a matter of time before we can expect to see it coming to Android. When will Fortnite come to Android devices?

Unfortunately, at this time, we don’t have a concerete release date for when we can expect to see Fortnite Mobile on Android devices. According to Epic Games, support for Android is something that was “coming in the next few months”, at least when the iOS version initially released. This could mean in the next couple of months to keep the game’s release in the fall window, or it may be all the way until winter when we see it popping up.

If you want to play the game at present, you’ll need to pick it up on an iOS device, where you can pick it up for free right now. When we have an updated release date, we’ll be updating this page to make sure you know exactly when to expect the game to be ready for download.

What’s different about Fortnite Mobile on Android?

As far as game mechanics go, Fortnite Mobile on Android will be nothing different than what’s already available on iOS. According to Epic Games, the iOS version is “the same 100-player game you know from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac.” Wha does that mean, however? It’ll feature the same type of content, updates, the same map, gameplay, and even the Seasons and Challenges you can take part in.

If you have friends who play on iOS or PC, you can even play with them on the Android version when it releases, including those on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You may be at a significant disadvantage as a mobile player when compared to others, but it’s very much a feature that you shouldn’t forget about.
