We talked about Wargaming’s introduction to the historical battle between the Pershing and the Panther vehicles. Now, the company brings two special missions to honor this memorable duel in World of Tanks. The missions will be available for a limited amount of time, but they are rewarding you with big prizes so make sure you do not miss them out.
The history behind the Battle of Cologne is impressive. A German Panther destroyed one American Sherman during the Battle. That is when the US 3rd Armored Division decided to bring the T26E3 Eagle 7 in the battlefield. Then the historic duel took place, and the American one was victorious.
To honor this astounding piece of history, Wargaming is bringing two missions that will be active from August 21 to August 27 at 07:00 CEST (UTC+2) in World of Tanks. The first one will reward you with x2 experience for the battle. The restrictions require you to pick only specific vehicles. You can play only three times per day and just in Random Battles. It also starts with the second victory of the day. All you have to do to get the rewards, though, is to win the battle and damage the following tanks: T20, M26 Pershing, T26E3 Eagle 7, T26E4 SuperPershing, M46 Patton KR.
The second mission also rewards you with double experience for the battle. The restrictions are the same apart from the three battles per day rule. The limitation here is repeatable. You will have to win the fight to earn the rewards. Also, you should damage one of the following tanks to be eligible for the double experience: Panther, Panther II, Panther/M10, Panther mit 8,8 cm L/71, VK 30.02 (M).
Since this particular event is limited, make sure you claim your rewards before the time limit. The history of the Battle of Cologne is interesting, so it is certain that these two new missions will also be astounding.
