In the WWE 2K19 game, you can customize your own playable superstar using MyPlayer mode and then take them through the MyCareer mode. This is a story in the game full of challenges along the way as you try to guide your MyPlayer to a spot on the main roster in search of fame and glory. Along with the MyPlayer comes a cool new addition to the game known as Overcharges. Here is how to use Overcharges in WWE 2K19 as you fight with your MyPlayer character.
How to Use Overcharges in WWE 2K19
Overcharges are special arcade-style moves you can use during matches with your MyPlayer. They’re a fun addition to the game, but they aren’t made obvious in terms of their location on the menus. To equip your superstar’s Overcharges you’ll need to head over to the main MyPlayer screen on the game. Press the Triangle button on your PlayStation 4 controller to bring up your “Boost & Payback” screen (seen below).
You have Level 1 and Level 2 of WWE 2K19 Paybacks. On, Level 2 of your Paybacks you’ll find your different Overcharges there. There are three to choose from. They are Beast Mode, Charged Fury, and Electrifying. Here’s a quick description of each:
- Beast Mode: This enhances your superstar’s grappling abilities.
- Charged Fury: With this, you can take off increased damage from your opponent with just one punch. The longer you charge it up the more damage you can take off.
- Electrifying: This gives your superstar a lot of extra momentum with very little effort.
Set one of the three Overcharges as your Level 2 Payback on your MySuperstar character. You’ll now be able to use it during matches with your superstar. Each Overcharge gives you specific controller button or combo to use it, as seen on the screenshot above with “Payback Info”.
Keep in mind, this will replace whatever you may have had set up as your Level 2 Payack (i.e. Low Blow, Poison Mist, etc).
How to use Overcharges in WWE 2K19 – leveling up
If you want to level up any of your Overcharges, head to your MyPlayer Tree to do that. Press R1 on your controller twice to see the Overcharges on the Tree. You can use Style Points you’ve earned in order to level up any of the Overcharges you want to.
You want to unlock the icons that look like yellow/gold symbols with a white ring shape on them through MyCareer or Road to Glory. That will give you points to level up your Overcharges. Boost them as you determine necessary and have fun using these as your Level 2 Payback with MyPlayer!
