WWE 2K20 Legends: Stone Cold Steve Austin Entrance Video Arrives With 2K19 Comparison

The Texas Rattlesnake will be back for WWE 2K20 Legends roster, but many fans knew that. Still, confirmation continues to arrive for the various WWE legends in the game. The latest is a Stone Cold Steve Austin entrance video, giving one of the first looks at him arriving out to the ring. We’ve also dug up the side-by-side comparison video from 2K19 to check out how it all looks.

WWE 2K20 Legends entrance: Stone Cold Steve Austin

In the past week or so, we’ve seen the brand new 2K20 entrance videos for current roster members. They’ve included Buddy Murphy, Kevin Owens, Aleister Black, and Samoa Joe. All of them are active on the main roster, but 2K has revealed the first of the WWE 2K20 Legends’ entrances for the game.

It’s none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin, who appeared on recent episodes of WWE Raw. He also hosts his own show on the same network as Raw with Straight Up Steve Austin. While he doesn’t participate in matches anymore, gamers will use Austin against current stars or other legends in 2K20.

Watch the legend known for “Austin 3:16,” “What,” and “Hell Yeah, as he makes his way to the ring in 2K20’s video below.

The new footage certainly gives gamers a good look at one of the most iconic superstars in the history of professional wrestling. It also includes that “One Fall” crowd yell that appears after the announcer says the same phrase. Austin wears his trademark gear including his knee brace, Stone Cold vest, and black boots as he surveys the crowd and heads to the ring.

Comparison to Stone Cold’s 2K19 entrance

As with previous superstar entrances including Samoa Joe, Aleister Black, and Kevin Owens, the side-by-side comparison with 2K19 has arrived. It allows people to get a closer look at what changed from last year’s game in terms of this year’s. Watch below to see for yourself and read on for more about the difference that has gamers reacting most.

In both videos, he still does his well-known pose for the crowd with two fists raised up as he climbs up on the ring ropes in the corners. His gear isn’t all that different, but it wouldn’t be since he’s not constantly coming out in that gear on the current WWE shows. However, that’s not what’s bothering gamers.

So far, based on YouTube comments, there are plenty of people who are unimpressed. They seem to prefer the Stone Cold 2K19 entrance compared to the new one. Some feel it’s still missing Austin’s trademark trash talking as he heads to the ring and that 2K20’s Rattlesnake walk looks worse than 2K19. Others are saying there’s something up with the new animation or the lighting.

For another Austin comparison, here’s Stone Cold’s 2K18 entrance video along with signature and finishing moves.

The good news is that Stone Cold is amongst WWE 2K20 Legends for the roster. The bad news is some appear upset over his new entrance. Will that be enough to keep people from buying a copy of WWE 2K20, though? That remains to be seen, as the game still sells quite a few copies each year it comes out.

WWE 2K20 arrives on October 22, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs. Pre-order a copy over at WWE 2K website.
