WWE 2K20 Roster: Samoa Joe Entrance Video Reveal, Ring Announcer Details Arrive
WWE 2K fans are still anticipating the official WWE 2K20 roster reveal that takes place ahead of the game’s release date. On Thursday, another member of the upcoming roster was revealed, with a look at Samoa Joe for the first WWE 2K20 entrance video. In addition, some new details were shared about who one of the in-game announcers will be for 2K20.

Samoa Joe is confirmed as another member of the WWE 2K20 roster with the arrival of the first official entrance video. The entrance clip is over a minute long and brings the first look at his character in the game. Joe comes complete with that trademark towel draped around his neck and is in blue trunks with a new hairstyle.
They’ve also added in the fans chanting “Joe, Joe, Joe!” as the “Samoan Submission Machine” makes his way to the ring. We don’t know Joe’s 2K20 rating yet, or anyone else’s rating in the game for that matter. However, Joe is now part of the confirmed WWE 2K20 superstars or legends in the game. Most fans were expecting that, so it’s not a major surprise.

In addition to getting to see Joe’s 2K20 entrance, another tidbit was revealed in the WWE 2K tweet. The game will feature ring announcer Greg Hamilton in his video game debut this year. He retweeted the original video clip to let fans know they’ll hear him announcing superstars as they arrive out to the ring for matches in 2K20.
For those unfamiliar with Hamilton, he’s the “ring announcer/voice” for SmackDown Live on USA Network. Hamilton will be a part of the show as it makes its move to the FOX network in just a few months too. In fact, the move to FOX comes just as WWE 2K20 is ready to release for consoles or PCs.
Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns are the official cover athletes. There’s also a special SmackDown 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition of the game. Gamers can get WWE 2K20 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs via pre-order now. The official WWE 2K20 release date is October 22, 2019.
