WWE 2K21 Cover Athlete Predictions: Which WWE Superstar Could Be The New Cover Star?

Which star will be on the WWE 2K21 cover? The WWE 2K20 cover featured two superstars with major stories over the past year in terms of Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch. Both were recognizable, popular, and had accomplished quite a bit in their careers.

Reigns was in the headlines for coming back after another battle with leukemia. Lynch was the first female on the cover after her historic run which included a Royal Rumble win and winning the WrestleMania main event.

With a new game due out in 2020, they’ll need a strong choice (or choices) for WWE 2K21 cover athlete. Here are our predictions for potential superstars who could be the cover star.

WWE 2K21 cover athlete predictions: Our picks for the new cover

Daniel Bryan & Charlotte Flair – Just like a male and female graced the cover of the previous title, the same could happen going forward with WWE 2K21. Daniel Bryan and Charlotte Flair are also very recognizable amongst fans and have plenty of career accomplishments. Multiple championships and memorable moments are there for both. Giving these two the cover seems fitting based on what they’ve meant for the business in moving it forward.

Kofi Kingston (or New Day) – Just like WWE 2K20 had the first-ever female on a cover of a 2K game, 2K21 could feature the first black superstar. Kofi finally achieved that crowning moment in his career with the WWE Championship win. It may not have ended how fans would have liked, but it helped put another major accomplishment on the resume.

A WWE 2K21 cover could feature Kingston by himself, or along with his New Day tag team partners, as they’ve become a popular stable over the years in WWE with plenty of championship runs.

Drew McIntyre & Shayna Baszler – Another male/female superstar duo that could work well for the cover. McIntyre was to take on Brock Lesnar after his big Royal Rumble 2020 win. Baszler tied a record in the 2020 women’s Royal Rumble for eliminations and nearly won it, ultimately losing to Charlotte.

The former NXT Women’s Champion is booked to take on 2K20 cover star Becky Lynch for her title at WrestleMania. McIntyre could become the next WWE Champion. That said, both seem like strong candidates for a cover, but not quite as recognizable as the other stars mentioned.

Three other possibilities for 2K21 cover

Finn Balor & NXT stars – WWE fans already know Finn, and he was amongst the popular superstars on RAW and SmackDown. Since then, he’s back to his old stomping ground of NXT. How about featuring Finn on the front of the cover along with other NXT stars in a montage? Others might include Johnny Gargano, Velveteen Dream, Tommaso Ciampa, and The Undisputed Era.

The Fiend – Last but not least, a choice that probably won’t happen as it might scare some away from buying the game. What if WWE 2K21 had Bray Wyatt as The Fiend on the cover? It’s a gimmick that got way over with the fans and was used to promote WWE 2K20’s first Originals DLC. If 2K really wanted to get creative, the next cover could involve a hologram or other technology that somehow changes from regular Bray Wyatt to The Fiend. Wowee Zowee!

WWE fans, which superstar (or stars) do you think deserve the 2K21 cover?
