WWE Money in the Bank 2019 pay-per-view is right around the corner. We already know it will feature WWE 2K19 cover star AJ Styles challenging WWE 2K18 cover star Seth Rollins for the Universal title. A lot of WWE fans are expecting a Seth Rollins victory, but one never knows. Meanwhile, more matches are arriving for the upcoming PPV card by the day. That includes The Miz vs. Shane McMahon inside a steel cage to extend their recent feud.
The Miz vs. Shane McMahon Steel Cage Simulation in WWE 2K19
The Miz and Shane McMahon will continue their feud from WrestleMania 35 inside a steel cage. The two stars battled in a Falls Count Anywhere on “the grandest stage of them all” inside New York’s Metlife Stadium. It went on for 15 minutes with Shane ultimately coming up with the win. Previously, the duo held the WWE SmackDown Live tag team titles after winning them at the 2019 Royal Rumble PPV in Phoenix.
When the recent WWE Superstar Shakeup arrived, fans thought maybe the feud was over. The Miz joined WWE Raw’s roster again, while Shane stayed put on SmackDown Live. However, the feud will continue at MITB 2019. Since you can play almost any match you want on WWE 2K19, we ran a CPU simulation to see who might win this one, virtually speaking.
As seen in our WWE 2K19 steel cage matchup, both competitors got in plenty of trademark moves in this one. There was a Skullcrushing Finale, a “Coast to Coast” jump from Shane, and even The Miz mocking Shane’s trademark punching dance. Both superstars attempted to escape the cage or get a pinfall win, but nothing seemed to work. However, after 10 minutes, the wily Shane McMahon managed to escape the cage, coming up with another win. That would make him 2-0 in the feud with Miz.
It seems as if this one may go more than 10 minutes when the PPV rolls around. One has to also think that WWE’s The Miz is destined to pick up the win at MITB, though. Even in WWE 2K19, he’s rated five points above Shane, so unless there’s outside interference, this simulation may be inaccurate. The MITB pay-per-view takes place on Sunday, May 19, 2019, from Hartford, Connecticut’s XL Center.
