Xbox Live Games with Gold August 2019 Free Games: August Predictions
We like to look at games coming out to try and guess what games may be free during the month ahead. As one of the games releasing in mid-August is Train Sim World 2020 from Dovetail Games, another title from Dovetail Games might be free next month. Our guess is Fishing Sim World, but another sim title from the same developer like Euro Fishing might also be an option.
Also coming out in August is Remnant: From the Ashes. This game from Gunfire Games will release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on August 20th. So maybe next month, Darksiders III will be free through Games with Gold. There is precedent, since Darksiders II was free in 2014, and Darksiders was free in 2017.
Our next prediction is Ryse: Son of Rome. Developer Crytek has another game coming out on August 20th for Xbox One and PC called Hunt: Showdown. Ryse: Son of Rome was free through Xbox One Games with Gold back in 2017. So there is precedent, and sufficient time has passed to feature it again.
Our last prediction for free games through Games with Gold for August 2019 is Layers of Fear. We are predicting this game as a possibility because developer Bloober Team has Blair Witch set to release on Xbox One and PC on August 30th. Their 2016 game Layers of Fear has been free before in 2017. Enough time has passed since then that featuring it again now would make sense.
