Alternatively, another game from Wired Productions that could make the list of free games next month through Games with Gold is Super Dungeon Bros from 2016. It is described as “a rock-themed dungeon brawler where a band of mighty rock bros must navigate the fantasy realm of Rökheim and its hellish dungeons to seek out epic loot, fight hordes of evil undead and uncover the legends of long lost fabled Rock Stars!” The game has been free through Xbox Games with Gold before, but that was back in 2016. Enough time has passed to feature it again.
With the underwater action RPG Maneater coming out on May 22nd on PS4, Xbox One and PC, it might be a good time to feature another underwater-themed game for free through Games with Gold. One idea would be Song of the Deep. The game is described officially as, “a metroidvania-style action-adventure game following a young girl’s quest into the unknown to find her missing father. Combining discovery, skill, and suspense with an unforgettable narrative, this underwater journey will challenge players to explore, experiment, and skillfully navigate a vast ocean landscape.”
Song of the Deep is developed by Insomniac Games. Speaking of Insomniac Games, maybe another game from that studio would be a good choice. Our pick is Sunset Overdrive, a dystopian game which received acclaim for its unique art style, fun game play and advanced customization options. While this game has been free through Xbox Games with Gold before, last time was back in 2016. So, we would love to have a chance to play it again in 2020.
