Xbox Live Games with Gold October 2020 Free Games: October Predictions
Now that we have talked about the September 2020 free games as well as when we can expect the October announcement, here are our predictions for next month.
Star Wars: Squadrons is coming out on October 2nd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Since Microsoft has a history of making Star Wars games free, maybe they will make another one free next month, like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Players on Xbox One and 360 can play this classic Xbox game through backwards compatibility. It has never been free through Games with Gold, so perhaps now is the time.
On October 16th, DiRT 5 is releasing on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Games with Gold has made both DiRT Showdown and DiRT 3 free to subscribers in the past. Maybe next month, the service will consider making 2019’s DiRT Rally 2.0 free.
October 21st will bring the release of the roguelike game Scourgebringer. We think maybe Microsoft will make another roguelike game free in October through Games with Gold. One idea is Dead Cells, which released in 2018, and which won multiple awards and was nominated for others.
On October 29th, Watch Dogs: Legion will come out on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Stadia. The original Watch Dogs was free through Games with Gold back in 2017, but Watch Dogs 2 from 2016 has yet to be free through the service. Maybe it will come to Games with Gold next month.
