Just 24 Hours to Claim the Total War Saga: Troy Amazons DLC for Free
Last month, Creative Assembly launched the first expansion DLC for Total War Saga: Troy, relatively soon after the game’s own release. Like the game itself, the Amazons DLC was released with a special offer on Epic Games Store; it was free to download for a limited time. Now, that limited window is about to come to an end, with less than 24 hours left to go!
Last Chance to Get the Troy Amazons DLC for Free
As of the time of writing, gamers have less than 24 hours left to claim the Total War Saga: Troy Amazons DLC for free. The DLC, like the game, is exclusively available on the Epic Games Store. While Troy was free to download on its release date, the Amazons DLC has been free to download for almost two weeks, giving fans plenty of time to get their hands on it. (Note that to take advantage of the free offer, you must claim the DLC via Total War Access by linking that site to your Epic Games Store account.)
Amazons is the first DLC for Total War Saga: Troy, the third installment in the Total War Saga series. Described as a ‘Hero Pack,’ the DLC adds the Amazons faction into the game with two new playable Heroes; Penthesilea and Hippolyta, each of whom leads their own branch of the Amazons with unique gameplay mechanics and abilities. Penthesilea, in particular, makes use of horde mechanics similar to those of the Total War: Warhammer series, albeit with some significant design improvements. (Perhaps hinting at what an eventual horde faction redesign could look like for the Chaos and Beastmen factions in Total War: Warhammer 2).
If you have Troy and haven’t claimed the Amazons DLC for free yet, you’d best do so ASAP! After the offer ends, players will have to buy the DLC as normal, at its standard retail price.
