Hitman 2: How to Complete the Brief History of Rico Delgado Santa Fortuna Challenge

Hitman 2’s A Brief History of Rico Delgado challenge is a rare sort since it doesn’t require any killing. Not only that, but the challenge itself is surprisingly easy to finish as long as you know where to go. This guide will walk you through the Brief History of Rico Delgado challenge and show you how easy it is.

A Brief History of Rico Delgado Setup

Completing the challenge doesn’t require any specialized tools or unlocks and can be done with your default Santa Fortuna loadout. Just make sure you bring along a suppressed pistol. While you won’t need to shoot anyone, you will need the pistol for a few long-range tasks. You can also begin the mission right at the default starting location. In fact, the default Santa Fortuna starting location is the best place to begin for completing this challenge.

A Brief History of Rico Delgado Walkthrough

Once the mission starts, run straight ahead towards the entrance to Rico Delgado’s mansion. However, before getting too close, be sure to shoot out the two entrance cameras with your suppressed pistol. With both cameras disabled you can cross the bridge and turn right to skirt around the mansion wall’s perimeter. Keep head around the wall and you’ll soon find a pipe you can scale. Head up the pipe to a landing and then look to your right.

On the back of the small guard building directly ahead of you is an air conditioner unit. Shoot the air conditioner with your pistol and a guard will come out to investigate the noise. Quickly head down the ladder and hide. When the guard’s back is turned, subdue him and drop his body in the nearby dumpster before taking his outfit. Run down towards the mansion, making sure to avoid any guards with a white dot over their heads.

Hitman 2's Brief History of Rico Delgado challenge involves activating trophy terminals.

Head towards the mansion’s southwest corner and you should see a guard around the corner wearing a pink shirt. Wait until the guard turns around and then head into the southern courtyard (the one with the hot tub). On the mansion’s southern wall is an open window leading into a bathroom. Climb through the window, open the bathroom door, and you’ll find yourself in Rico Delgado’s trophy room.

Some of the trophies have small computer terminals which you can activate to hear narration from Rico himself. There are four such panels in total, and activating all four triggers the Brief History of Rico Delgado challenge.
