Destiny 2: Garden of Salvation Raid – Start Time and Banned Weapons

Shadowkeep went live in Destiny 2 earlier this week on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. Since then, players in Destiny 2 have been grinding for the max Power Level to get raid-ready by the end of this weekend when the raid goes live. If you don’t know, the new raid in Shadowkeep is called Garden of Salvation. This raid takes place in The Black Garden. Destiny 1 players are very familiar with The Black Garden as it was the first place where they encountered the Darkness.

Garden of Salvation Release Date And Time

Destiny 2 Garden of Salvation Raid

Garden of Salvation is going live later today at 10 AM Pacific, Saturday, October 5, 2019, on all platforms (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC). There will be a World’s First race for this raid host officially by Bungie. Just like any other raid, the content mode will be active for the first 24 hours in this raid. Here’s what Bungie said about this:

“Contest mode will be active for the first 24 hours, similar to the Crown of Sorrow World First competition. While Contest is active, players will face an enforced challenge throughout the raid. Power beyond certain levels will provide no additional advantage for a given fight (e.g., for the first fight, Power above 890 doesn’t provide an advantage, and for the final fight, Power above 920 doesn’t provide an advantage).

Banned Exotics And Emblems In Garden Of Salvation

Prior to Shadowkeep, players discovered a bug that allowed them to deal with a massive amount of damage using Jotunn. This exploit was tied to the amount of FPS you get. The greater the FPS, the more damage you’ll do. So, for the time being, while Bungie is fixing this issue, they said that Jotunn will be disabled in the Garden of Salvation World’s First Race. Along with Jotunn, Bungie is also banning Sealed Ahamkara Grasps and Peregrine Greaves exotics.

Other than that, Bungie also confirmed that the first team to complete the raid and return to orbit won’t receive a confirm Raid exotic drop. So, they’ll have to grind for it just like everyone else. Below, you can see the two emblems players will get for completing the raid. The first emblem is for those who complete the raid in the first 24 hours. The second emblem is just a normal raid emblem that’ll drop when you complete the raid.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is now live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, released on October 1, 2019, and later in November on Google Stadia.
