First Two Apex Legends Global Series Premier Events Announced

Following the announcements for the upcoming Apex Legends Season 4, including its addition of a new Legend and a new weapon, Respawn has also now confirmed details for two more events in the Apex Legends Global Series. Specifically, these will be the Series’ first two “Premier Events,” each with their own $100,000 prize pools. The first will be taking place in Paris, while the second will be held in Bucharest.

The First Two Apex Legends Global Series Premier Events

During the Apex Legends Global Series, in-between the online tournaments and Major events, there will also be several “Premium” events. Each of these events, which are hosted by third-parties, are something akin to self-contained tournaments with their own prize pools. However, winning teams can also win advanced placement, along with travel and accomodations, to the next Major event.

Apex Legends Global Series Premier Event Announced for Paris

Until now, Respawn and EA had not revealed any of the Premier events. However, alongside the details about Season 4, Respawn has now added two Premier events to their Series schedule. The first of these will be the “GLL Masters,” a Premier event hosted by GLL Esports. This tournament will take place from the 24th of April to the 26th, at the Studios du Lendit in Paris, France. This first event will be open to 40 teams that qualified in the Online Tournament #2 event, which will be taking place from the 29th of February to the 2nd of March. The GLL Masters will have its own $100,000 prize pool, and is also offering advanced placement to Major #2.

Roughly one month later, the second Premier event will be held in Bucharest, Romania. This ‘PGL Premier,’ which will be hosted by PGL Esports, will take place at their own studios. This event will be similar to the GLL Masters, also featuring its own $100,000 prize pool. (Not to mention advanced placement into Major #2 for winners.) However, the tournament will only be open to half as many teams. The top 20 teams that competed in Online Tournament #3 will be invited to participate from the 30th to 31st of May.
