Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Mercenary Events Are on Hold

The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey mercenary events have really been hit and miss ever since the live events launched in October. While some would be able to successfully trigger the events, others weren’t quite so lucky. This led to Ubisoft not just pulling out the events once, but twice. To say this probably isn’t the best look is an understatement. Especially for those who have been looking forward to the live aspects of Odyssey.

Due to the fickle nature of these events, Ubisoft has had no choice but to say something about it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t anything good. While other events, such as Epic ships, have been good to go and thus are staying put, mercenary events are being put on hold. But not for good, as Ubisoft plan to put them back in once a fix is found. Whether that’ll be sooner, rather than later, remains to be seen.

This news comes VideoGamer, where it was shared what Ubisoft had to say about their plans for the next live events.

AC Odyssey Mercenary Events

What does Ubisoft have to say?

“Two weeks ago, when we attempted to launch the first Epic Mercenary Event with Damais the Indifferent, we discovered that the content didn’t properly appear for a majority of our players,” Ubisoft said. “It wasn’t satisfactory to have an event available to only a portion of our players. So we decided to temporarily remove the Epic Mercenary Events from the game altogether until the issue is resolved.”

With these events on hold, finding things to do in the game may seem hard or tedious. However, Ubisoft has just released free DLC. The Lost Tales of Greece may be short, but it’ll give players something to do while they wait. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will have updates too to add new exciting things. Maybe New Game+?
