Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: The Fate of Atlantis Episode Two Revealed

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has been a game which consistently grows. From new Lost Tales of Greece missions to expansive DLC, Ubisoft has ensured the longevity of the title. To boot, the latest DLC, The Fate of Atlantis has been met with positive reception so far. This means fans have been elated to discover the next part of that trilogy expansion now has a release date.

Delving Deeper Into the Afterlife

Although not all of Odyssey’s DLC has been a roaring success, most additions to the game have been positively reviewed. Ubisoft overcame a tidal wave of controversy from the Legacy of the First Blade DLC to continue rolling out fun, quality content. It should come as no surprise then that The Fate of Atlantis is still going strong, providing an otherworldly experience that distracts from the publisher’s previous missteps.

The official Assassin’s Creed Twitter account took to the platform to announce the second episode of The Fate of Atlantis. Titled Torment of Hades, this second installment will be available to those who have purchased the DLC on June 4th. Of course, this is true for anyone who purchased the season pass as well, so players eager to jump back into Odyssey will have plenty to explore.

The first episode Fields of Elysium took the protagonist through the idyllic Greek afterlife. Lush, sprawling fields and towering waterfalls graced the stunning landscape with sheer beauty. Fans were taken aback not only by the sheer marvel of the landscape but with the captivating story as well. The dip into the more fantastical elements of Greek mythology has served The Fate of Atlantis well.

Torment of Hades, however, appears to be just a bit different. The respective titles of each episode should give this fact away, but there are a few more details that can be pointed out. The gif in the tweet above shows a landscape far different than that of Elysium; barren trees, a dust-colored sky, and desolate earth prove this will be a very different journey. Torment of Hades will arrive in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on June 4, bringing with it exciting changes.
