Rush Game Mode Returns to Battlefield Tomorrow in Battlefield 5

One of the Battlefield franchise’s most iconic game modes is making its return to the series tomorrow in a new form; a Battlefield 5 Rush game mode. The first appearance of Rush was in Battlefield: Bad Company, and it quickly became a fan favourite. However, it didn’t feature in Battlefield 5 until now. Rush is coming to Battlefield 5 tomorrow and will be available for at least two weeks.

Battlefield 5 Rush Mode Available From Tomorrow

The launch of Battlefield 5 Rush comes as the main feature of the Unstoppable Force event; part of Tides of War Chapter 2: Lightning Strikes. Just like Squad Conquest, which was available towards the beginning of Lightning Strikes, Rush is planned to be available for two weeks. According to DICE, the brief availability allows the studio to gauge public support for the modes before they consider making them permanent additions. Squad Conquest was so popular that it was kept available for a few extra weeks, so the possibility certainly exists that Rush could be available for more than between March 7th and March 20th.

Battlefield 5 Rush Returns Tomorrow 2

The Battlefield 5 Rush mode is a 32-player version of the mode; two teams of 16, one attacking, one defending. The attackers will try to plant bombs on several objective sites. Meanwhile, the defenders will attempt to stop them and disarm the bombs. The attacking team has a limited amount of respawn tickets, so they won’t be able to win by rushing unthinkingly. While the mode is somewhat similar to Breakthrough, the map divisions are different and the objectives are artillery guns or comm stations.

Rush will be available on variants of three maps; Devastation, Narvik, and Twisted Steel. Just like Squad Conquest, these map variants will only be available for this particular mode. In Rush, the maps are divided into sectors, with objective sites in the central sector between the two teams.
