Brooklyn Nets Star Spencer Dinwiddie Reveals NBA 2K21 Plan

Right now, the Brooklyn Nets are in the thick of an NBA Playoffs battle against the Philadelphia 76ers. They were able to steal Game 1 on the road. In that opening game as D’Angelo Russell led the way. Spencer Dinwiddie also chipped in off the bench, though. He’s easily one of the Nets’ stars along with DLo, and has some big aspirations when it comes to the NBA 2K game.

Spencer Dinwiddie’s NBA 2K21 goals

The Brooklyn Nets were able to break into the postseason again thanks to All-Star Russell and rising star Spencer Dinwiddie. He’s been in the league for five years now, with his first two spent in Detroit. Since arriving in Brooklyn, he’s been on the rise. Dinwiddie finally broke the double-digit scoring average last season and improved upon it this season. He averaged 16.8 points and 4.6 assists per game for the 2018-19 NBA campaign.

Dinwiddie is a guest on this week’s episode of NBA 2KTV. He sat down with 2KTV’s Alexis Morgan to discuss his career, but also his NBA 2K goals. He’s got some lofty ones too, including a perfect rating in the game. He also wants to take LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s spots: on the 2K cover.

Dinwiddie mentioned he wants to get up to a 100 overall player rating in the NBA 2K game. He’s currently rated at an 82 overall in the game. That includes 80s for Shot Close, Open Shot Mid-Range, and Contested Shot Mid-Range. He also brings a laid-back personality, according to his 2K info.

In addition to the 100 rating, Dinwiddie wants to be on the NBA 2K cover. That means he’d join the likes of elite stars like King James, Greek Freak, and Kyrie Irving. The Nets star said he’ll give it a few years, though. Dinwiddie thinks he can get there by the NBA 2K21 release.

That means he’s going to have to do quite a bit next season. D’Angelo Russell is clearly the team’s top star and he just achieved an NBA All-Star appearance this past season. So Spencer Dinwiddie will need to become as good and probably better than his teammate to achieve those goals. Still, there’s a popular saying, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”
