New Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Gunfight Tournament is Now Live

While the ‘80s Action Heroes event is still going strong in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Gunfight fans have something new to take part in; another week-long Gunfight Tournament. This special event went live in-game earlier today, and will be active until the 10th of June.

Black Ops Cold War: June Gunfight Tournament

The latest Gunfight Tournament in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War began today, on the 3rd of June, and will be active for the next seven days. During this event, players will compete in a single-elimination bracket format, with a random pool of different Gunfight maps. Performing well in the Tournament can earn you event-exclusive rewards, giving players an extra incentive to take part.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold Gunfight Tournament Now Live June 2

The Gunfight Tournament starts just days after the game’s latest update, which added the final new weapon of Season 3; the AMP63 Machine Pistol. This new weapon is now available to acquire in-game, either by purchasing the “Gamma Ray” store bundle or by completing the necessary challenge to unlock it.

A Gunfight Tournament isn’t the only new mode or playlist available for Multiplayer fans to try out this week. Also starting today, the Action Hero Moshpit playlist is now available, offering two of the new event-exclusive modes; Die Hardpoint and Rambo’s Gun Game. Additionally, another new Gun Game variant will be available to play from tomorrow. This is the Blueprint Ammo Gun Game. Instead of the usual roster of twenty weapons, players can expect to be using a selection of Weapon Blueprints, all armed with tracer and dismemberment effects.

As an added incentive to try out these new modes and playlists, Treyarch will be holding another Double XP Weekend. Starting at 10:00 AM PT on the 4th of June, the event will offer all players 2X Weapon XP until 10:00 AM on the 7th.
